Atlantica Hotel Halifax is situated in Halifax, NS and is hiring a Night clerk - hotel to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Day, Weekend, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must investigate complaints and claims.
• The candidate must register arriving guests and assign rooms.
• The candidate must resolve complaints and claims.
• The candidate must process group arrivals and departures.
• The candidate must take, cancel, and change room reservations.
• The candidate must provide information on hotel facilities and services.
• The candidate must provide general information about points of interest in the area.
• The candidate must exchange foreign currency.
• The candidate must process guests’ departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
• The candidate must balance cash, prepare balance sheets, cash reports, and related financial documentation.
• The candidate must maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
• The candidate must follow emergency and safety procedures.
• The candidate must answer telephone calls and relay messages accurately.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must contact customers to deliver requested wakeup calls.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
