Windyview mushroom in Sunderland, ON is seeking a self-motivated Mushroom farm worker. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must regulate water saturation, light and temperature as instructed to support crop growth and development.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
