MT (massage therapist)

Centre Myo Derme in Chibougamau, QC is inviting applications for the position of MT (massage therapist). We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain, and lower grade mobilizations.
• The candidate must apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body.
• The candidate must assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plans.
• The candidate must explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients.
• The candidate must maintain records of treatments given.
• The candidate must massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body.
• The candidate must suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques.
• The candidate must perform relaxation massage.
• The candidate must clean and maintain equipment.
• The candidate must greet customers.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a day spa to provide treatments, support clients, and maintain a professional and hygienic environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in a spa center.
