Metal fabrication worker

R&W Metal Fabricating and Design Inc. in Paris, ON is inviting applications for the position of Metal fabrication worker. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from surfaces of metal products.
• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
• The candidate must assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
• The candidate must sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
• The candidate must grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.
• The candidate must read and interpret work orders.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a metal products manufacturing company to fabricate, assemble, and inspect metal products while ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
