Lake Foundry (2020) Ltd. is situated in Grimsby, ON and is hiring a Metal casting, moulding and coremaking foreman/woman to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Morning, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must supervise, coordinate, and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
• The candidate must establish work schedules.
• The candidate must prepare production and other reports.
• The candidate must train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must oversee the safety of operations.
• The candidate must inspect materials and equipment for compliance with standards.
• The candidate must establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units.
• The candidate must ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.

• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
