Medical orderly

CHSLD Wales Inc. in Richmond, QC is inviting applications for the position of Medical orderly. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Casual employment - Part time leading to full time employment. Work schedule: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities.
• The candidate must assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment.
• The candidate must perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.
• The candidate must supply and empty bed pans.
• The candidate must serve meal trays and feed patients.
• The candidate must weigh, lift, turn, and position patients.
• The candidate must deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments.
• The candidate must maintain inventory of supplies.
• The candidate must bathe, dress, and groom patients.
• The candidate must transport patients between care facilities.
• The candidate must transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• The candidate must answer call signals to determine patients’ needs.
• The candidate must collect specimens.
• The candidate must administer first-aid and other assistance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be bilingual.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
