Medical devices assembler

ABK Biomedical Inc. ( Halifax, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Medical devices assembler. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must assemble prefabricated parts.
• The candidate must collect, record, and summarize inspection results.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must operate automatic or other testing equipment to ensure product quality.
• The candidate must identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be willing to work for long hours in sitting positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a medical laboratory to conduct tests, analyze samples, and support diagnostic processes.
