Mechanical engineer

Aplin ( Saskatoon, SK) is currently looking for a skilled Mechanical engineer. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Term or contractPart time leading to full time position. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Day, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
• The candidate must develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs.
• The candidate must plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems.
• The candidate must prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance.
• The candidate must assess business opportunities and develop strategies.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
• The candidate must work in mines and quarries, performing tasks related to extraction, processing, and site safety operations.
