GE VERNOVA in Gaspé, QC is seeking a self-motivated Manufacturing plant supervisor. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and fabricate, assemble, finish, or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products.
• The candidate must establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units.
• The candidate must recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
• The candidate must prepare production and other reports.
• The candidate must set up machines and equipment.
• The candidate must train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must requisition materials and supplies.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.
