Maintenance mechanic technician - industrial

Sherwood Industries Ltd. ( Saanichton, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance mechanic technician - industrial. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must assemble mechanical equipment.
• The candidate must assemble stationary industrial machinery.
• The candidate must detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must repair or replace defective machinery parts.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• The candidate must install machinery and equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
