Maintenance mechanic

OAK & STONE CONSTRUCTIONS ( Woodbridge, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance mechanic. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must coach and instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
• The candidate must install machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
