Machine operator - glass forming and finishing

Durabuilt Windows & Doors Inc. in Edmonton, AB is inviting applications for the position of Machine operator - glass forming and finishing. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must record manufacturing information such as quantity, size, and type of goods produced.
• The candidate must operate finishing machines to grind, drill, sand, bevel, decorate, wash, or polish glass or glass products.
• The candidate must set up and adjust glass and glass product finishing machines.
• The candidate must examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut.
• The candidate must operate process control machinery to cut glass or assemble glass window units.
• The candidate must place patterns on or under glass for cutting.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
