Loss prevention officer - retail

Independent Security Services Atlantic Inc is situated in New Minas, NS and is hiring a Loss prevention officer - retail to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate may be required to appear in court as a witness.
• The candidate must produce reports.
• The candidate must check age identification of patrons.
• The candidate must enforce regulations to maintain order, resolve conflicts, and monitor establishment activities.
• The candidate must patrol assigned areas.
• The candidate must prevent and detect shoplifting and theft in retail establishments.

• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a retail service establishment.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate should work in a bar to prepare and serve drinks to customers in liquor-licensed premises such as bars, nightclubs, hotels, and restaurants.
• The candidate must work on a construction site.
• The candidate must work in a private security agency to provide protection, monitor premises, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• The candidate must work at a public event to assist with organization, manage operations, ensure safety, and provide support to attendees and staff.
• The candidate should work in a retail/wholesale establishment/distribution center handling products from manufacturers or wholesalers, organizing them, and shipping them to their final destinations as quickly as possible.
• The applicant should be able to work in a school or educational institution/establishment comprising establishments that provide instruction and training in various subjects.
