Long haul truck driver

Planet Pride Logistics Ltd. in Richmond, BC is seeking a self-motivated Long haul truck driver. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations.
• The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• The candidate must obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.

• The candidate must have basic security clearance.
• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.
• The candidate must be able to pass a driving record check (abstract).
• The candidate must be able to pass a drug test.
• The candidate must be able to complete a medical exam.
