Long haul truck driver

KM TRUCKING LTD. is situated in Leduc, AB and is hiring a Long haul truck driver to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be hardworking.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Security and Safety

• The candidate must have basic security clearance.
• The candidate must be able to pass a driving record check (abstract).
