CELESTIQ EXPRESS is situated in Winnipeg, MB and is hiring a Long haul truck driver to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform brake adjustments.
• The candidate must perform emergency roadside repairs.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
• The candidate must transport and handle dangerous goods.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have patience.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
