North 29 Transport Ltd. in Edmonton, AB is inviting applications for the position of Long haul truck driver. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform emergency roadside repairs.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
