Job Description

The candidate must plan or adjust routes using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
The candidate must perform emergency roadside repairs.
The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Job Requirements

The candidate must be fluent in English.
The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
Equivalent professional experience accepted.
