Long distance truck driver

TRANSPORT BOURASSA INC. in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC is inviting applications for the position of Long distance truck driver. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must address and resolve customers' complaints or concerns professionally.
• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
