Livestock labourer

Howardvale Holsteins is situated in Breadalbane, PE and is hiring a Livestock labourer to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must clear fields of wood and stones.
• The candidate must diagnose livestock health issues.
• The candidate must disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses.
• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor the calving process.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving.
• The candidate must track and report on current feed inventory.
• The candidate must treat livestock health issues.
• The candidate must perform weaning tasks.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must milk cows.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
• The candidate must set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
