MARITIME INN - PORT HAWKESBURY ( Truro, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Line cook. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must recruit and hire staff.
• The candidate must organize buffets and banquets.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
