the crabapple cafe inc. ( Brackendale, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Line cook. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Day, Night, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.
• The candidate must recruit and hire staff.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have strong time management skills.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
