Lead welder

Molinaro's Fine Italian Foods Ltd. in Mississauga, ON is inviting applications for the position of Lead welder. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment.
• The candidate must read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
• The candidate must examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• The candidate must operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
• The candidate must start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
• The candidate must maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
• The candidate must weld or braze components.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• The candidate must operate machines and equipment.
• The candidate must establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units.
• The candidate must ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met.
• The candidate must assemble and fit metal and prefabricated parts to close tolerances according to blueprints.
• The candidate must install machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must supervise and coordinate the activities of workers.
• The candidate must requisition materials and supplies.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• The candidate must ensure safety procedures are followed.
• The candidate must plan repair work to be performed.
• The candidate must develop procedures to clean up contaminated sites.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
