Laundry machine operator

K-Bro Linen Systems ( Langford, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Laundry machine operator. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines.
• The candidate must operate dryers and blow-drying machines.
• The candidate must mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals.
• The candidate must hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles.
• The candidate must assemble and bag finished articles.
• The candidate must check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure establishment standards are met.
• The candidate must match invoices or tags with dry-cleaned or laundered articles.
• The candidate must record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
