Landscape labourer

The Little Yard Card Company in Camrose, AB is seeking a self-motivated Landscape labourer. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Position status: Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist with landscape constructions.
• The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
• The candidate must cut grass.
• The candidate must rake and collect refuse.
• The candidate must remove litter and garbage.
• The candidate must cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
• The candidate must lay sod or seed.
• The candidate must plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• The candidate must apply fertilizers.
• The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
• The candidate must spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control.
• The candidate must clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads, and public grounds.
• The candidate must clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.

• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate should work in the landscape maintenance division, the art and vocation of keeping a landscape healthy, clean, safe, and attractive, typically in a garden, yard, park, institutional setting, or estate.
