Labourer, fruit farming

Kokanee Fruit Company, Ltd. is situated in Creston, BC and is hiring a Labourer, fruit farming to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Seasonal employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Early morning, Day, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
• The candidate must cut agricultural crops.
• The candidate must mix fertilizers.
• The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must fertilize and spray crops.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must be familiar with soil fertility programs.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
