Laboratory technician, chemical

Maritime House Metals Inc. in Napanee, ON is seeking a self-motivated Laboratory technician, chemical. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Day, , 07:00 to 17:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct tests and analyses using physical and chemical separation techniques.
• The candidate must conduct tests and analyses using spectroscopy techniques.
• The candidate must maintain laboratory equipment.
• The candidate must set up chemical experiments, tests and analyses.
• The candidate must be familiar with MS Office applications.
• The candidate must assist in the development of standards and health and safety measures.
• The candidate must compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results.
• The candidate must prepare solutions of gases or liquids, reagents and sample formulations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must have strong time management skills.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
