Kitchen helper

Valentine St-Pierre is situated in Drummondville, QC and is hiring a Kitchen helper to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must package take-out food.
• The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
• The candidate must serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
• The candidate must use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
• The candidate must clean and sanitize kitchens, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• The candidate must receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
• The candidate must wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
• The candidate must supervise staff or teams.
• The candidate must perform opening and closing activities.
• The candidate must operate the cash register accurately.
• The candidate must bake mixed dough and batters.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a coffee shop that provides patrons with a place to congregate, talk, read, write, entertain one another, or pass the time, whether individually or in small groups.
