Junior estimator - construction

RONI EXCAVATING LIMITED is situated in Concord, ON and is hiring a Junior estimator - construction to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.
• The candidate must create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
• The candidate must utilize quantity take-off procedures.
• The candidate must analyze tenders and recommend awards.
• The candidate must set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
• The candidate must monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• The candidate must prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
• The candidate must liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
