The candidate must appraise gemstones and diamonds to identify rare specimens and assess value.
The candidate must examine, cut, shape and polish diamonds and precious or synthetic gems.
The candidate must fabricate and repair jewellery made of precious and semi-precious metals.

The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
