Irrigation technician - installation and maintenance

Groundhog Landscaping Ltd. ( Etobicoke, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Irrigation technician - installation and maintenance. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must repair and service exterior prefabricated products.
• The candidate must determine layout and installation procedures.
• The candidate must measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations.
• The candidate must prepare and maintain work materials and supplies.
• The candidate must load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
• The candidate must utilize hand and power tools.
• The candidate must operate computer-controlled equipment.
• The candidate must troubleshoot problems related to equipment.
• The candidate must attend scheduled practice and training sessions.
• The candidate must clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush systems.
• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must track and complete work orders.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The applicant should work as a landscape contractor to create and construct large and small projects for residential and commercial properties.
• The candidate should work in the landscape maintenance division, the art and vocation of keeping a landscape healthy, clean, safe, and attractive, typically in a garden, yard, park, institutional setting, or estate.
