Ironworker - reinforcing rebar

IRON SKY REINFORCING LTD. in Coquitlam, BC is seeking a self-motivated Ironworker - reinforcing rebar. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment.

Job Description

• The candidate must erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate will be responsible for guiding crane operators to place units as per blueprints.
• The candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing structures and equipment to identify deterioration, defects, or non-compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
• The candidate will be responsible for positioning and securing steel bars or metal mesh within concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures.
• The candidate must unload and position steel units for hoisting operations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
