Industrial spray painter

COX CONTRACTORS LTD in High Prairie, AB is seeking a self-motivated Industrial spray painter. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must check proper thickness of plating using micrometers, calipers, or other devices.
• The candidate must clean and maintain equipment.
• The candidate must operate and control electroplating equipment, hot-dip metal plating equipment, and/or spray equipment to build up worn or damaged parts.
• The candidate must paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes.
• The candidate must prepare and apply stencils, decals, or other decorative items on finished products.
• The candidate must prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications.
• The candidate must select appropriate paint or mix paints.
• The candidate must tend automatic metal coating machines that convey objects through cleaning, rinsing and plating solutions.
• The candidate must tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings.
• The candidate must tend or operate equipment to spray or coat.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.

• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
