Industrial mechanic

HARLIN PLATING INC. in Bolton, ON is seeking a self-motivated Industrial mechanic. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must assemble mechanical equipment.
• The candidate must assemble stationary industrial machinery.
• The candidate must coach and instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must construct foundations for machinery installations.
• The candidate must repair or replace defective machinery parts.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• The candidate must operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
• The candidate must program programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• The candidate must install machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• The candidate must commission systems and components.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
