Day & Campbell Limited ( Hamilton, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Industrial mechanic and millwright. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must coach and instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• The candidate must construct foundations for machinery installations.
• The candidate must repair or replace defective machinery parts.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• The candidate must operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
• The candidate must program programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• The candidate must install machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
