Hotel general manager

Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton South ( Edmonton, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Hotel general manager. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
• The candidate must authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
• The candidate must coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments.
• The candidate must establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
• The candidate must represent the organization, or delegate representatives, in negotiations or other official functions.
• The candidate must plan schedules, goals, and objectives.
• The candidate must oversee company operations.
• The candidate must monitor departmental performance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must show initiative.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in the accommodation and food services sector performing hospitality and service-related duties.
• The candidate must be able to work in a hotel, motel, or resort with additional sports and leisure facilities, set in a natural environment that attracts visitors beyond the accommodations.
