Horticulturist helper

Boem Berry Farms is situated in Kingsville, ON and is hiring a Horticulturist helper to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must apply fertilizers.
• The candidate must report signs of insect or disease damage.
• The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The work environment is smoke-free.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate must work in a greenhouse to cultivate plants, manage growth conditions, and ensure healthy production.

• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
