Gulzar Verjee in West Vancouver, BC is inviting applications for the position of Home support worker. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Term or contractFull time position. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer bedside and personal care to clients.
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The candidate must assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
• The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
• The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must provide companionship.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must shop for food and household supplies.
• The candidate must prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• The candidate must attend to the emotional well-being of children.
• The candidate must supervise and care for children.
• The candidate must maintain a safe and healthy environment within the home.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must be able to handle weights between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs).
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
