Now hiring: High school teacher at Mountain View Christian Academy in Terrace, BC. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Term or contractFull time. The schedule involves Day, , 08:00 to 16:00 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must discuss results and students’ progress with students, parents and school officials.
• The candidate must participate in staff meetings.
• The candidate must assign and correct homework.
• The candidate must develop course content.
• The candidate must prepare subject material in accordance with an approved curriculum.
• The candidate must prepare, administer and correct tests.
• The candidate must provide tutoring assistance.
• The candidate must teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations and practical studies.
• The candidate must lead students in activities that promote physical, mental and social development and school readiness.
• The candidate must teach assigned subjects or skills.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.
• The candidate must be creative.

Work Setting

• The candidate's relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee's relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company's offices or other work locations as required.
• The candidate must work in a private school to provide instruction, supervise students, and support academic development.
