Heavy equipment operator

Knox Mountain Metals (2020) Ltd. is situated in Kelowna, BC and is hiring a Heavy equipment operator to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate heavy equipment.
• The candidate must clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• The candidate must understand the purpose and proper use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• The candidate must conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• The candidate must secure special attachments to equipment.
• The candidate must operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
• The candidate must perform minor repairs to equipment.
• The candidate must operate hydraulic pumping systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
