Heavy equipment operator

Now hiring: Heavy equipment operator at COX CONTRACTORS LTD in High Prairie, AB. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate heavy equipment.
• The candidate must clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• The candidate must measure distance, volume, length, and weight.
• The candidate must operate computer-controlled equipment.
• The candidate must complete onboard and other logs.
• The candidate must conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• The candidate must prepare accident reports.
• The candidate must secure special attachments to equipment.
• The candidate must operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
• The candidate must operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
• The candidate must perform minor repairs to equipment.
• The candidate must operate hydraulic pumping systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
