Islington Nurseries Ltd. is situated in Etobicoke, ON and is hiring a Heavy equipment mechanic to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment - Part time. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• The candidate must clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
• The candidate must perform repair work on heavy trucks.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be well-organized.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
