Heavy-duty equipment technician

Battlefield Equipment Rental is situated in Nepean, ON and is hiring a Heavy-duty equipment technician to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• The candidate must adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• The candidate must test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• The candidate must clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
