Head chef

Sushi Kiwami Enterprise Inc in Richmond, BC is inviting applications for the position of Head chef. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
