Head butcher - retail

Rio Brazilian Steakhouse ( Coquitlam, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Head butcher - retail. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Early morning, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must cut carcasses, sides, and quarters of meat.
• The candidate must cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
• The candidate must remove bones from meat.
• The candidate must supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers.
• The candidate must make special sausages.
• The candidate must slice cooked meats.
• The candidate must prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
• The candidate must shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.
• The candidate must prepare special orders.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
