Now hiring: Hairstylist at Bloom Salon in Vernon, BC. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must advise clients on beauty care treatments.
• The candidate must analyze hair and scalp conditions to determine appropriate treatments.
• The candidate must book appointments.
• The candidate must cut and trim hair according to client instructions or preferences.
• The candidate must provide custom hair and scalp treatment.
• The candidate must shampoo customers’ hair.
• The candidate must provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening, and tinting, and also provide scalp conditioning massages.
• The candidate must apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair.
• The candidate must cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair.
• The candidate must suggest hairstyles compatible with clients’ physical features and preferences.
• The candidate must perform receptionist duties.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
