Centre jardin trudel inc. is situated in Baie-Comeau, QC and is hiring a Grower, plants - nursery to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate must harvest seedlings.
• The candidate must level earth to meet fine grade specifications.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
• The candidate must control reported insect, disease and weed problems.
• The candidate must establish and maintain required environmental conditions.
• The candidate must establish work schedules.
• The candidate must hire, train, and supervise staff.
• The candidate must order materials and stock.
• The candidate must supervise staff in planting, transplanting, feeding and spraying activities.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
