Grounds maintenance labourer

PEI Potato Solutions is situated in Kensington, PE and is hiring a Grounds maintenance labourer to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
• The candidate must cut grass.
• The candidate must rake and collect refuse.
• The candidate must remove litter and garbage.
• The candidate must cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
• The candidate must lay sod or seed.
• The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
• The candidate must spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control.
• The candidate must clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be hardworking.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.

• The candidate should work in the landscape maintenance division, the art and vocation of keeping a landscape healthy, clean, safe, and attractive, typically in a garden, yard, park, institutional setting, or estate.
