General supervisor - building construction

RV DRYWALL LTD is situated in Surrey, BC and is hiring a General supervisor - building construction to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must supervise workers and oversee projects.
• The candidate must coordinate and schedule activities effectively.
• The candidate must train or arrange for training of staff.
• The candidate must manage their own company.
• The candidate must set up equipment.
• The candidate must ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• The candidate must recommend personnel actions.
• The candidate must establish methods to meet work schedules efficiently.
• The candidate must read blueprints and drawings.
• The candidate must requisition materials and supplies.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
• The candidate should be involved in the maintenance, repair, and maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
• The candidate must focus on repair work, restoring damaged, deteriorated, or broken items to good condition.
• The candidate must work in renovation to repair, update, or improve residential or commercial properties, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
