General labourer - farm

Jack's Organics in Amherstburg, ON is seeking a self-motivated General labourer - farm. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Evening, Weekend shifts. This position has been approved by the LMIA.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must manually remove all suckers and water sprouts.
• The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must cut horticultural crops.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
